CAWA provides a selection of projects and educational sessions that equip Arab women with the needed knowledge and necessary skills for their professional development, especially in the Canadian workforce and market. Many Arab women struggle to find employment in Canada and there are very few programs that teach essential skills that are effective, barrier-free, and culturally sensitive.
As a local organization, CAWA is also dedicated to supporting Arab women in their entrepreneurship endeavours as we strive to support female innovation and success. We host informational workshops about financial literacy. We invite successful models in the community to talk about their experiences, and discuss topics like employment, computer skills, banking, financial literacy, and other matters integral to launching local projects.
